Sponsorship opportunities are available for Art Walk's 2010 season. This is a great way for local businesses to show their support for Hillsboro Arts & Culture while advertising their business to a community that likes to shop local.
Your logo and information will be printed on all of our posters, rack cards and flyers with a distribution of 1,700 per month. You will also be listed on this blog. Upper level sponsors will receive mention in our monthly press releases and print advertising.

The Downtown Hillsboro First Tuesday Art Walk provides a platform for a diverse range of emerging and experienced artists, musicians, and wineries to directly connect with the heart of Downtown Hillsboro to increase public access to local commerce and the arts. It fosters an appreciation for the arts, provides opportunity for growth and diversity of the downtown art scene, and strives to create an environment of exchange and support between galleries, businesses, creative individuals and the Hillsboro community.

We have gone through a major revitalization. March, 2010 begins our new and improved Art Walk season. Now once again, under the direction of the Hillsboro Downtown Business Association (a 501c3 non-profit organization), we have some sponsors on board and we have an exciting opportunity to promote the First Tuesday Art Walk as a featured event.

Now accepting applications for our 2010 Season (March, 2010 through February 2011)

We invite emerging and experienced artists to apply, all mediums are welcome.

Deadline to apply for 2010 Season: January 15th, 2010
Application fee: $15

Artwork is reviewed by judging panel in a blind process and all decisions are final.
Notification and Scheduling: You will be notified via email by February 15, 2010. Artists are scheduled for each First Tuesday from March, 2010 through February, 2011.
If accepted, you may be invited to show your work for more than one Art Walk during the 2010 season.

Upon acceptance:

You will be matched up with a downtown Hillsboro business to show and sell your artwork in a participating downtown business. Hours of Art Walk vary depending on the venue between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

You are responsible for bringing your own display but work with your business contact for specific details and available space.

You will be charged a commission of 15% for all artwork sold.

You will be required to provide 1 to 2 hours of volunteer time to distribute flyers for your scheduled showing. Flyers will be provided to you. You will receive complete instructions upon acceptance.

Host an artist, musician or local winery in your business during the Downtown Hillsboro First Tuesday Art Walk.

Art Walk is between the Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza and Walters Cultural Art Center at 5th & Main in Historic Downtown Hillsboro. Businesses located in and around this area are invited to join in every First Tuesday.

Make it a party! This is a chance for your business to shine, make a good impression and bring those patrons back to Downtown.

Forward promotional emails on to your customer list to encourage them to visit you during this First Tuesday event.

Additional support and ideas for marketing and advertising your own business during Art Walk can be provided to you upon your registration and payment.
